Smetto di recensire i team e la novità nelle flotte per mettere l’accento su alcune voci circolate su Russel Coutts.

Il mitico timoniere neo zelandese, ah lanciato insieme all’atrettanto mitico
la World Sailing League , una nuova formula per catamarano oceanici che promette successo e spettacolo ( adoro i catamarani, sono un hobiecatter).
Ma è in primo piano anche perchè stando a
Sailing Anarchy qualcosa bolle in pentola.

Russel Coutts: “There is no chance I will rejoin Alinghi. There is no doubt I will miss being involved in the racing. But as a result of not being able to compete in the America’s Cup, I have changed direction a bit and sailed a large variety of boats. I must say I am enjoying sailing more high-performance boats and maybe that is where the Cup will head in the future.”

Non esiste la ben che minima possibilità che io possa partecipare a questa Coppa America con Alinghi. Mi diverto lo stesso anche su altre barche, specie quelle con le performance più elevate e forse è questa la direzione che deve prendere la Coppa America nel suo futuro.
Coutts si sbilancia e allunga lo sguardo al futuro della Coppa.
